Maggie MacCormack drawing contest

Are you dyslexic and aged 18 or under? Do you have a great imagination and enjoy drawing? Would you like to use these skills to enter our fun competition?

Dyslexia Canada and Dyslexia Scotland have partnered up with Kaja Blackley, Canadian author of Maggie MacCormack and the Witches’ Wheel, to raise funds through sales of the audiobook. The audiobook was narrated by Scottish actor Linda McDade who is dyslexic. Kaja and Linda have generously offered to donate 10% of all sales of the audiobook to Dyslexia Canada and Dyslexia Scotland, helping us to help more people with dyslexia in Canada and Scotland.

What you could win?

First up, there will be 6 prizes, 3 for Canada and 3 for Scotland. You can win an E-book or an audiobook of Maggie MacCormack and the Witches’ Wheel and achieve fame by having your winning pictures on our websites and social media!

How it works

We have recorded a bonus podcast episode with a description of Maggie MacCormack written by Kaja and narrated by Linda.  From the description, we’d like you to draw a picture of what you think Maggie looks like. Let your imagination and creativity run wild! You can draw on paper or use technology such as an iPad.  Here’s what to do:

  1. Listen to the podcast episode with a description of Maggie here – it’s just a few minutes long!

  2. Share your pictures on Twitter by July 14th using the hashtags #MaggieMacCormackContest and #PoweredByDyslexia

  3. Tag @Dyslexia_Canada, @DyslexiaScotlan and @magsmaccormack
